# Episode 3 lab files

These files came from the Claude download produced during the final recorded `ospf-multiarea-02` lab session on 14 October 2026 (UTC). Claude read the live topology and ran `show running-config` on all four routers, then reassembled the five downloadable files from the available tool output. The files in this folder are sanitized copies of that Claude-created download; they are not byte-for-byte copies of files transferred directly from the VM. No rehearsal files are included.

## Included files

- `ospf-multiarea-02.clab.yml`: six nodes and five links
- `CORE-RTR-01-running.cfg`
- `CORE-RTR-02-running.cfg`
- `EDGE-RTR-01-running.cfg`
- `EDGE-RTR-02-running.cfg`

## Privacy and portability changes

1. One complete credential-bearing line in each router configuration was replaced with `! [masked]`. This removes the credential material, regardless of its original value.
2. The topology's four `startup-config` references originally pointed to `.txt.partial` files that were not in the download. Each reference now points to the corresponding `-running.cfg` file in this folder.
3. No router interface, OSPF, loopback, host, addressing or link configuration was changed. The private RFC1918 management subnet is the lab-local containerlab management network; it is not a public VM connection address.

The running-configuration comments contain the source's date `2026-10-13`. Those comments are preserved verbatim. The bundle was downloaded in the recorded session on `2026-10-14` UTC. The reason for the different dates was not established.

## Use and verification

Each of the four downloaded router files has the expected router hostname and ends in `end`. The two core-router files match every nonsecret command line in their available recorded running-config output (58 lines each, ignoring blank lines, comments and CLI display headers). The edge-router design lines match the recorded configuration requests (17 lines each). Their complete running-config outputs are not available in the UI extract, so a full edge-router comparison could not be performed. The request commands `no shutdown` and `log-adjacency-changes` do not appear literally in the downloaded running-configs; no change was made to insert them. See `validation.json` for the checks and limits. Exported CLI headers, including `Current configuration`, remain as received. These are sanitized evidence files, not an independently retested deployment package. Review the exported headers and add your own authentication configuration before using them as startup configurations.

Cisco software images are not included. Supply an appropriately licensed image matching your environment. The topology records the Cisco IOL image tag used by this session. The host image reference is also preserved as exported.

The topology parses as YAML, contains all four routers and both hosts, and all four public `startup-config` file references resolve within this folder. `SHA256SUMS` records the delivered file hashes. Private original exports were preserved separately and are not part of the public package.
